Mandatory speed skating equipment

Includes:

Helmet (hockey, bicycle or inline helmet allowed for practices). It is mandatory to have a speed skating ISU certified helmet (LAS or LG) for short track meets.
Safety glasses,
Neck guard with bib,
Cut-proof gloves,
Knee pads,
Shin guards.

Kevlar socks are highly recommended and may be mandatory for out-of-province meets

Information on the required equipment can be found on the OSSA website or you can ask our club for advice. We are happy to welcome back Rocky Lamontagne and Gavin Thulien as our equipment experts this year. They can help you with all your equipment needs

All of this equipment is available for purchase from ZT Sports (Gavin), which will be on-site at registration and at many regular practices. Skates are available for seasonal rental from the club.
