Brewer Skate Park Oval Information

Ice Conditions as of 29 January 2010: Excellent

The Brewer Skate Park is a City of Ottawa facility; as such it is available to all. Those interested in getting a good workout on their skates, come and enjoy the best maintained large ice surface in the area. Skaters are welcome to use hockey and figure skates though, playing hockey and skating figures are not allowed on the ice in order to protect the ice surface. There are long track skates available for rent from the oval supervisors for those that would like to try this sport. If you are interested in long blade skating, just ask any long blade skaters or the oval supervisors.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We have lost a significant amount of parking at the Brewer Oval last year, especially along the street because of the new sidewalk.

When using the oval, please use the parking lot to the west of the arena (you will need to come in off Bronson).  Some cars have been parked at the entrance (between the trailer and east of the Brewer Arena) where the tractor/blower/brusher parks as well as where the Zamboni dumps its snow.  These cars block the pathway for the tractor that maintains the oval and rinks and risk being ticketed/towed away in future.

Please park in the arena parking lot - the short walk can be your warm up!
