Not all masters skaters participate in
other sports, but you will find skiers, hockey players, cyclists,
inline skaters, soccer players, runners, triathletes and others among
our members.
For those who want to improve
their fitness, there are many off-ice training opportunities.
- Masters Monday
night
dryland training sessions run from May through December
- An annual summer
dryland camp for masters began in 2007
- Every short track
session begins with a 35-minute dryland/warm up session
Dryland training consists of a variety of
activities, including sprint work and plyometrics. It's all about
strengthening and conditioning by improving balance and endurance.
