A Meet Recorder since 1969, Cy worked the 1974 Ontario Winter Games, Thunder Bay ON, the 1986 Junior Canadians, Ottawa, ON and numerous indoor and outdoor meets in Ottawa over the years. He obtained CASSA Certification Level 2 Recorder in 1986. In 1982 Cy was appointed Pacer Club Historian by then President Alan Jones. Maintenance of the club members' accomplishments and newspaper pictorials were kept in a Clipping Record Book until 1989. Six time member of CASSA's $100 Skate-A-Thon Club. Skated the 1984 International Race of Eleven Cities Marathon on the Ottawa river, achieving the recorded time of 3:47 hrs. for 40k. Awarded ISAO Certificate of Dedicated Contribution to Speed Skating in 1985. Awarded Pacer and CASSA Life Memberships in 1988. Cy inaugurated the Pacer Achievement Book in 1986, since taken over by Al Rose. |
